Torque limiter
What is a torque limiter?
Torque limiter is an automatic device that protects mechanical equipment or its work from mechanical overload damage.Torque limiter may limit Torque By sliding (as in a friction plate slip clutch), or completely disengaging the load (as in a Shear pin). The role of the torque limiter is particularly useful for limiting any damage caused by collision stops and blockages.
The torque limiter can be packaged as a shaft coupling Or as a hub chain or pulley. Torque limiting device is also called Overload clutch.
